The electribes are a groove box, for making grooves to dance to. Four on the floor is the easiest groove to dance to and the best for long term longevity of a genre. House and techno have been around since the middle 80's, and aren't going anywhere. People who aren't making dance music don't really ...

You may want to try to switch mono to poly in the main menu. Thank you. And le t me guess... A chord means + 1 voice... right? :| It pretty much always means each note takes up a voice on every synth. On some of the oscillators it's 2 voices per note, which is not unusual for a unison effect. Of ...

Oh also how does it deal with synthesis with single cycle waveforms? Set them as loops with the loop point at the beginning, they work pretty well. Pretty much like any other oscilator, except no edit parameter. Mabi transposed the AdventureKid waveforms to C4 (what the electribe 2 sampler is keyed ...

It has a few velocity curve presets to choose from. Not sure if you can set the pads to channel toggles, by default they play chords. I have a Taktile 49, I haven't gone full on with my electribe setup because I mainly use it for the arpeggiator and the keys. I have another scene for my Reface DX ...

Mabi transposed all the adventure kid wave forms to C4 for e2s use here: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=665651#665651 They are single cycle samples, you loop them and use envelopes, modulation filter and effects as desired. There are close to 3400, and there's a whole lot of ...

Quit being a jerk, the manual sucks even if you do read it. The very last oscillator selection is for external audio, you need to have a part with that selected. Edit is gain, and you need to have a note with a gate value of 'Tie' in every step.

Thanks mabi! I think these are as close as you can get without doubling the filesize again. On my equipment they read 4-5 cents sharp, putting the pitch at -4 gets them as close as I can measure. I haven't run into any real buzzy or clicky ones yet, and I've tried 30 or so.

He's been successful enough to live off his music and performances, which is way more than most musicians ever accomplish.

Complain about 4/4 house and techno all you want, go try and dance to Aphex Twin and Squarepusher if spastic beats float your boat.

That's what sequencer mode is. Press a pad to light it, press again to unlight it and mute it. If you record a sequence some other way(step editor, live recording), pressing a lit step will mute it. Use the 1-4 buttons to change bars as necessary.

You could have read the manual and found out that Step edit is menu 22 of 27. It's not very informative, but the information is there. That said, step edit is pretty clunky on the E2, you enter notes with the main knob and doing it for up to 64 steps is tedious. You can edit that sequence you made ...

The attitude I got from Mistabishi's presentations was that they were focusing on it as a played instrument, not something you program. So they want you to play your sequences in. That approach seems heavy handed to me, lots of synthesizer folks want to sequence and tweak, and don't have the ...
