Nice one Reuben you are a star. Did backup and loaded .set to go with your other set. Thanks to the other posters who helped make this happen.

To others don`t forget Reubens other set, I use it across the keyboard to practice scales and arpeggios as well as in songbook entries.

Thanks Reuben.

Many times I posted about Reubens pianos, they are my "go to" pianos. My set includes some great pianos including 5 Rhodes. The late poster, "Music with Harry" was the one who put me onto Reubens pianos. To me they are the best on all of my 3 Korgs. There must be someone who has the set that you ...

Whatever decision you make please do not get rid of your Pa4x, keep it as well as your new machine. Many, many people who bought Pa5x regret selling their Pa4x. It was not a good move.

Good luck.

Apologies all, I misread the OP. From now on I will stick to what I know best, the 4X. Realise now that 5X is a different machine so I have learnt something and that`s what the forum is about.

Good luck to you all.

I forgot to mention that "Step Recording" is also on my other Korgs, Pa1000 and Pa700. And so is the "Midi to Style Creator". All three keyboards have great editing features and so much more. I agree with you guys on the forum and puzzled why the Pa5x could not be better than it is at the moment ...

Yes, “Step Recording” is on the Pa4x. Great feature that I use often. Also the “Midi to Style Creator” is fab, my very best songs were created with this. But that’s another story. Page 346 of the Pa4x Manual. Customizing, recording and editing the Songs. Step Recording a Song. Step Recording allows y ...

Many thanks Siebenhirter,

I fully understand what you say after reading the manual for several years but it takes someone like you to be able to answer our questions and explain in more detail.

Well done and thanks for taking the time. Part of our learning curve.

Every single post here sums up my feelings in a nutshell. Each day that passes will highlight yet another Pa5X fault. The hissing and noisy piano sound was reported here ages ago, the LEDs are cracking, not suitable for gigs only the home, numerous faults reported in Stickies and the list goes on ...

Hi Rob, The Italian piano is great just like the rest of the Pa4X. I can`t help much here regarding what you are asking but it`s a great post that I look forward to and hearing what others have to say. By the way have you tried Reuben`s pianos that he very kindly gave us free of charge. I love them ...

Hi Duby Market research shows that “home entertainment” of all sorts is the latest trend, from eating and drinking, streaming music and films and yes, playing musical instruments. It kicked off big time with Covid when people could not leave their houses and now with the rising cost of living it is h ...

You are almost there now Chuck. Click on "Search" at top of Forum, put in PKG, choose Pa4X from dropdown menu, Search. It`s about your Pa4X Serial No, read all about it. Then it is very simple. The Search feature on this forum can be a great help but be sure to do a regular backup. Good luck

Yes Chuck the latest OS is sound and stable as the others here have said. If anyone uses a condenser microphone it restored phantom power plus other good stuff. Just be sure to make a backup first which should be regular standard practice anyway. Pa4X updates together with its excellent editing ...

Yes Mabcomp this could be very concerning for you. Be happy with what you have and don’t risk trashing your keyboard. I learnt this from our forum years ago and have never had one single problem with my three Pas`. Keep it simple. Mabcomp, you paid a lot of money for Pa5X and should not need to risk ...
