They also sent a new board for the screen issue. My screen was fine but I mentioned it to my service guy and he called them right up and there was a service bulletin for that as well.

I use a Korg SP170 under mine with great results. Midi channel 1 for all Krome keys and midi channel set to 2 for everything played on the SP170.

My Krome is buried until the weekend but as I recall you had the option of having the click go out the right channel only. Left as mono synth. I have not gone too deep into the sequencer so it must be on one of the main pages. There may also be a YouTube video with this option.
