I don't think its nearly as limited as FLi suggests, Actually you're right, my bad !!! :) so long as you set the Mopho midi channel on say 2 vs the MicroX's 1 you will be able to control the Mopho via MicroX's USB on your DAW. Just set your midi out's on your DAW to the respective midi channels. So ...

Does this mean I can hook up an external sound module (something like a DSI mopho) to my soundcard and micro x using midi cables and use it on one of the 16 tracks in multi mode The problem is that you don't have Midi Thru on the MicroX so I cant really see you being able to loop another synth thru ...

Dammit, And just as I thought I was in studio happiness, I find a Microkorg for next to nothing. This raises somewhat of a dilemma for me...I don't spend enough time in my studio to warrant yet another synth purchase (especially just after I got the MicroX, which I havent explored at all yet) but ...

Here's my MS10 I modded put woodends on...waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the manky plastic ones

I have the exact same on mine so I wouldnt worry too much....it must be said that i'm not terribly impressed with the overall build quality of the micro...definately wont stand up to the rigours of live or touring but itll be fine in the studio

Okies..

1.) I got the Editor and VST to work via midi...works well enough, no USB but I'll survive.

2.) OS X 10.5.6 can be downloaded from apple.com. Just type 10.5.6 combo into the search and it'll take you to the download page. It's about 600mb

Okies so I took the MicroX apart and found out 3 things... 1.) There are a helluva lot of screws... :shock: 2.) The master volume knob is definately bust...check it with a voltmeter and it does nothing besides hang at half voltage....which is weird in itself but anyways...guess that needs to be ...
