You need to run the "External setup" or something like that that's on your M50 CD. This will install the VST Plugin. You will need to install it in a folder that Cubase is monitoring, or tell Cubase where to look for. I think the default setup might work. That's as precise as I can get right now. My ...

I hate to break it to you but the solution is to sell your M50 and buy the new Kronos. No, really. Trust me, I have been cursing at this too. Having a second (or more) keyboard acting as a MIDI controller and then assigning programs to its MIDI channel in Combi mode helps but it only gets you so far ...

Was this recorded in your own "home" studio? Pro Tools? Cubase? that kind of stuff. I'd like to record my band in the near future and I haven't settled down on software yet. I have a Tascam US-2000 interface which came with a lite version of Cubase. I have worked quite a bit with Cakewalk Pro Audio ...

I think it's a matter of personal preference. I used to use an N364 for years. I replaced it with my M50 and I'd never go back. At first some of the M50 multisamples sounded thinner than the N364 multisamples, but there's just so much more I can do on the M50 to shape the sound exactly how I like ...

I wish. Main reason: Smooth Sound Transition: this often-requested feature allows held or sustained notes to keep sounding when changing sounds or modes. This is such an effing deal breaker on the M50. My 20+ year old Ensoniq does that for crying out loud. There's no reason they couldn't fix that ...

But, if you create a pattern in Sequencer mode, save it and then export it as a drum track pattern, you can use it in Combi mode. This is a great way to stay in Combi mode and having a loop on any of the keys, assigned to a sound. That sounds good. I need to RTFM and study this keyboard more. Can ...
