Samples are limited to a certain amount of time (16 beats usually unless the bpm gets really low..) but it is very useful and you can keep resampling. It's not something to be used as a dedicated sampler though.

It resets all the preset effects, all the sample banks, all midi information, all settings you've changed etc. I've had to do it before when it got buggy and it worked like a charm. :]

Not so pro tip: Use the drum synth and press hold on a beat then use the re-sampling feature to get individual drums on the a-b banks. This allows you to freestyle drum stuff. You can also go to drum-6 and hit it on one part of an instruments (or synths) melody. :]

Hold 3, FX and HOLD buttons while turning it on. L appears in screen. Then press 1,3,5,1,3,5. Copied from this reference guide http://www.korgnorthwest.com/KORG_Resets.htm Also, the interface with a program (theres plenty of free ones!) will do the same thing as a midi thru box and allow you to do ...

You can midi chain them with an interface.. it provides easier syncing by using a computer (with a midi-thru driver.) This allows you to only be limited by the amount of usb ports you have on the computer. I don't think the kaoss pads midi clock is all that reliable as a master as it gets a TINY bit ...

It might not be the problem... If the first beat that doesn't sound right doesn't sound phased, it's not the problem. What seems more likely to me is that the recording is being started ever-so-slightly after the first beat, hence the dull/empty sounding first beat and, like the OP said, lack of ...

I'd suggest the Mini-KP. There are plenty of synthesizers in the world but the effects processor is all it's own![/url]

You can't edit the effects on the hardware but you CAN use the midi X,Y pad to control any effect or vst you can find on a computer. This does not mean you are relying on the computer any more then you were in the first place though! :] I use FL studio with seperate plug ins most of the time and ...
