According to Korg there is and never was a problem with the portamento. It's actually a selling feature and gives the Pa series its unique sound.

Anthony - thank you for creating the 4X resources for 5X. Very useful and saved me a lot of time. I assume this was done by creating a SET on the 4X and running it through the converter on the 5X. So, to be sure I understand you correctly, the only way to get legacy styles, i.e. pre 4X to work ...

Apply the SET naming scheme of the Pa4X to your Pa3x SET, i.e. rename the folders inside the Pa3X SET, and use the convert function in your Pa5X. It worked for me.
