What we're looking for is a GE that produces a sustained chord on the Kronos / downstream device when you play a sustined chord on the upstream device. So I'm asking for help in searching for the right GE that responds *normally* so that the Kronos MIDI Out will act like a MIDI Merge (combined THRU ...

Re: Anyone have a program that uses ribbon for guitar strumm

As it says in the title: I am looking for a Kronos program that is set up for guita strumming using the ribbon. As in this video (Oasys, not Kronos) arount 1:00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c45lZYw9K7M. Or the manual advance feature shown arouns 2:30 in the same video? Or the setup around 3:30 ...

Re: Kronos LS

[quote= I read somewhere that this new LS model will be priced the same as the regular 73 key model. That would put it at $3400 street, just $300 less than the standard 88 key version. I guess that makes sense, it does have the same guts as the standard one, just a different keybed. Paul[/quote ...

In the latest news section some kind of announcement for Jan 12th has been mentioned (NAMM 2017 thread). Let's wait and see :-) https://www.facebook.com/KOR ...

It's a bit more difficult thatn that. Easiest way is to set first the Rise for the same channel as Kronos global channel and Channel mode = SINGLE. In this way the Rise will transmit all the info in just one channel and you can play any program or combi in Kronos. Velocity will be recognized same as ...

A question about sustain pedals - I get the impression that, with the seabord rise connected to the Kronos, the sustain pedal - connected to the Kronos, not to the Rise - does not seem to work right. It's like the polarity of different, but in the Rise dashboard I cannot seem to find a setting to ...

It would be great if options like copying one timbre (and IFX) to all other timbres or just a subset of timbres plus options to copy a group of timbres to fill the other timbres with the same group could be also available in your tool in future versions. [/quote] This is the kind of logic I'd like ...

In the next version of PCG Tools there will be a Combi MPE initializer, which is able to copy for one or more combis, the first timbre (program) to the remainign 15 slots. This seems to be useful for ROLI and other related boards. Great. I'll have my ROlI Rise 49 in a month or so and I'm really ...

Yes maybe. I don't really have the right to complain about a free app anyway. 8) Regards Sharp. The sound packs are not free so they are doing some business from this anyway. Small amount of money but multiplied by thousands ... probably much more than the limited marked for the roli seaboard ...

I think Korg got on the right architecture path with Oasys PCI and the Oasys keyboard, of course. From there, it was decisions to get the cost down, make improvements and allow it to evolve with its OS. I think we are fortunate to enjoy all the effort and planning by Korg. Same feeling here ... we ...

Explore some combi with that feature as int-C 068 Oboe & Orchestra. There the upper part of the keyboard is assigned to Oboe and sw2 turn it on/off. Oboe is set to timbres 4 and 5. Go to PLAY > CTRL VIEW/Effect... sw2 is set to cc#81 In Tab IFX > Routing 1 you can see those timbres are set to ifx 1 ...

Please be sure that any timbre in your Combi is really set to channels different to the one you set as MIDI channel in GLOBAL mode. Many combis have the timbres set to GCh (Global Chanel) that means that they will always recognize the MIDI channel set in GLOBAL whatever it is. In those cases you ...

Re: PA4x Questions (and answers)

My guess , 128MB on board (fixed) + 256MB removable/upgradable (total 384MB out of the box ~ 400MB) With compression option we can get close to 800MB :P Yes but you see they didn't mention anything about "up to 800 MB" deal at all. Strange a bit... My guess is , from 1 GB (or maybe 2) of CPU board ...
