The latest build version is 1903 (Windows 10 May 2019 Update), which has been released last week. Your version (1803) is over one year old now, so time to update here . Thanks - I thought it seemed like my work laptop had some new features, but assumed maybe they were further ahead on Enterprise ...

It's a good idea. And not to sound negative but I think here is a problem. I think Kronos is amazing in that all of its sound generation is done on a single Intel Atom processor. To do this the software is obviously very optimized and very integrated. I'd guess that this optimization and integration ...

Agree about Rudess. While his ability is great and he seems like a really nice guy, when I listen to what he plays it just sounds like a bunch of notes and not anything that interests me. I'm a longtime Wakeman fan and I think he's capable of doing musically very beautiful stuff. Some of his music ...

Is it just me or....it looks like he's playing the CTTE bit in E (which is the original key) but it sounds like D.

You can have 16 midi channels in multi mode but every "part" is then fixed to its corresponding midi channel number. So part 1 is channel 1, part 2 is channel 2 etc. As limiting as this is it wouldn't even be so awful if basic sounds like the main piano sound didn't consist of four parts. So you ...

I also don't like the initial decay of the Kronos pianos (although the release never bothered me). Compare these pianos to the Yamaha S90ES (S700 sample) or the Pianoteq. These ring out more where the Kronos pianos sound more, as you say, choked. Not that this is specific to Korg or Kronos---I hear ...

Found this old post with no answer. As far as I can tell, the Kronos doesn't use NRPN but rather uses SysEx. This makes sense because SysEx can hold larger numbers. You can see this by running the MIDI-OX utility and then changing parameters on the Kronos to see what is sent. The Kronos obviously ...

Maybe its time that someone creates a true keyboardwaorkstation based on VSTs.... With ARPs and Karma and a pattern mode, and all that other stuff that set a keyboardworkstation above a Midicontrolled DAW.... There was Open Labs eKo. And there's also Muse Receptor (no keyboard). But I guess you're ...

Sampling a modelled instrument kinda misses the point of having/playing a modelled instrument. :P You lose all the interaction between the strings and resonances, and the whole no-velocity-layers deal that Pianoteq offers, etc. Just MIDI Out that sucker :) I know you put smilies there and all but I ...

I'm not sure about the newest Kronos, but on the original the screen isn't angled. So you can get a sore back after a while leaning over it to see it. At least with the editor you don't have that.

Ah, you can also fix it by going into Global settings and set Foot Pedal Behavior to "Reset".

Maybe I misunderstand, but that is what doesn't work for me...if I reselect the first Combi the volume is then very low.

Well, I finally zeroed in on it, and yes, it has to do with expression. Apparently, organ presets typically have the expression AMS set to the foot pedal CC04. If I set AMS to Off it now at least avoids the volume drop. I guess I need to read up on the expression. Apparently, if I put the preset on ...

Thanks. That helps to know, at least.
It's driving me nuts. I'm using an original Kronos on top and a VAX77 under. I cannot create any combi with organ on the lower keyboard because of this problem.

Good guess. But I've just unplugged the expression pedal, damper, and USB connection and still have the same problem. Also, the vector joystick can control the organ volume (I guess by default, I didn't dig into it) but that's not it either. Has anyone tried the above and not been able to reproduce ...
