Yammy tyros4 articulation sounds are good because they put in a lot of hours of sound programming and custom samples recording(recording of specific nuances). And You have to PAY for it. Korg PA3X is a real competitor to Tyros4.
Another competitor is from GEM/Ketron . I can't recall model name.
Korg PA2/3X has special OS and sound engine. Each program has 8 oscillators and each oscillators has OSC trigger switch setting. This setting is the key to so called super articulation voices.

The answer is NO.

Kronos 61 key=$2800
Tyros 4=$5000.

I still believe in the concept that good music is the sequence of the right musical notes at the right time.
We made good music out of 16/32 notes polyphony machines...
