By "files" do you mean the programs/combis/etc? Can't you just browse the sounds in the keyboard and see if the ones you need are there?

I've taken my Kross in a flight case to every continent and played hundreds of gigs indoors, outdoors, wet, dry, hot, cold, smoke, dust... dropped it, spilled beer on it, watched baggage handlers throw it around and fall from planes... it's still in once piece and everything works perfectly. This is ...

Interchangeability of Triton Classic series PCG files?

Hello! This question isn't specifically about the Classic, but I thought this would be the best place to post it. When I play live, on my band's tech rider for each show we have the line 1 x KORG Triton series keyboard , which I use just to play a few synth pad / choirs, for interludes between songs ...

That 1 line in port will probably only be monophonic (it's intended mostly for things like microphones on gaming headsets) so you won't get the full stereo quality of sound that the Kross is capable of. You only need something as simple as this, though (and the cables to connect it up): http://www ...

It's impossible to have uninterrupted patch changes with combis on the Kross. The only keyboard that can do true uninterrupted patch changes with combis is the Kronos (they call it patch remain). Lots of keyboards can do it with programs (single sounds, as opposed to groups of 16+ being played ...

It seems like you've misunderstood a few things, so I'll explain: The MIDI files in Cubase are just a set of instructions, which can either control virtual instruments (plugins), or external synthesisers (such as your Kross). The USB connection between the Kross and your PC can only send MIDI ...

I'm not 100% sure this would work, but you could try assigning the volume pedal to the gain of an effect (such as a limiter, or compressor) so that when you push the pedal it cranks up the volume.. but when you pull it back, it just returns the timbre to its original un-effected volume.

I can only imagine it's a problem with the connection inside the sustain pedal socket. I occasionally had this problem with the footswitch socket of an old keyboard, where it would randomly fire footswitch messages - get someone you trust to check the wiring of the sustain pedal input.

You should learn about the difference between MIDI and WAV. A WAV file is an uncompressed high-quality audio file, and a MIDI file is just a set of instructions (notes, velocities, program changes, etc) used to play a piece of music on a keyboard/computer/module. You cannot convert a WAV to a MIDI ...

Not strap pegs, but I have taken the back case off my Kross and screwed in two handles, which I use to strap it to the keyboard stand. I loved that the X50 had these handles as it allowed me to do that, and I wanted a way to do it with the Kross. The plastic seems to be very strong and I have not ...

I haven't done with the Kross, but with the X50 I have lost my power supply all over the world and bought generic adapters from the USA/Australia/Europe (countries with different mains voltages, too) and it has all been fine.

You could also try recording some MIDI from the keyboard over USB (or with a MIDI cable) into Cubase/Pro Tools/etc, to see if the keyboard is actually triggering the diminished fifth. It wouldn't help you much in fixing the problem yourself, but it'd be a good way to troubleshoot and find out ...

Korg X50 Editor/PCG arrangement problems

I'm currently playing the X50 on a tour, and every night I have to rearrange the setlist. However, I am unable to do any rearranging of patches within the X50 editor; I would have thought that it would be possible to just drag and drop combis and programs around, but the only way is to manually save ...

Using a Y-splitter with footswitch

I'm posting this here because more people reply in the Kronos section, however this is actually about the Karma (I am assuming that in the context of my question, the answer applies to both). I use a Karma on stage, with a wireless MIDI system linked up to a Roland AX-7. I play both keyboards during ...
