You can hack into Animoog, putting in your own timres. They have to be 44.1, 16 bit mono and 32kb. Helpful hint, pitch shift them down first. Use ifunbox to insert. Check out Tim's explanation on Discchord. Also, you can insert the same (and longer) samples into the PPG Wavemapper's engine. This is ...

A thought just struck. If the filters are modelled, what's to say they can't be ported over to the Kronos in a future update? It, too, is software.

I think Jim has hit on the main difference, here. While the Kronos has so many possibilities, there's only so much you can tweak at one time using the knobs on the K and one of the many, many pages of the editor. Let's face it, the K isn't a performance on the fly machine, unless you've previously ...

Looking around on the net, when the behringer istudio surfaces, I may well go for that, as it will alow several different types of set-up. The only downer is yet another physical object and sound throughput. The ipad is handy because it's so compact. Wouldn't it be nice if apple released a musicians ...

iPad and Kronos connectivity

I know that you can connect up the two using a usb a-b cable, and set in up in global audio settings, (check out Qui's youtube video, thanks, Qui!) but is there a workaround for an a-a connection, because I want to keep the a-b route for my pc. If I want to use a daw, and I'm just about able to sit ...

It's very much a personal taste choice, once you have decided your budget. If you ask the professionals that know best, the same group of names keep appearing, just pick one you like. Me I'm a sennheiser man, leaning towards grados. The other thing you absolutely have to think about is physical and ...

Kronos and Animoog

I see that you can now make your own wav files for animoog, Discchord put up the how to, and it looks fairly simple, so I naturally thought of making some on the K, when at last I'm able to sit properly (after big time surgery and being x-rayed until well done), which will be even more fun when ...

When you go through the various voices, and you start to pick out some favouties. see if there's an engine that appears more often, and perhaps concentrate on that. Or, pick a reasonable simple engine to programme, say the polysix, and work up from that. Youtube is your friend here, especially with ...

Perhaps a filter sweep looped, so it could be used as part of a wavetable type voice (I'm thinking of something like the timbres available in Animoog here)? That. too, would cut down on many megabytes being used; always a bonus.
