I would love to see a new electribe, but I'm not holding my breath. It looks like Korg is focusing less on the midrange products and focusing more and more on the 'toys' (monotron, kaoss 2 + kaossilator 2) and the high end products (Kronos, Krome). But it would be sweet to see a new groovebox with ...

Did you write all your new changes to the new pack? The way the electribe works is that you load the entire pack into the memory. If you expand or create new patterns you do that on the electribe's internal memory, not the SD card. You have to write the the entire pack to the SD (check the manual ...

I use my EMX-1 as master for Ableton, KP3, K-PRO and my ESX-1. No daisy chaining, I use this device: http://www.midisolutions.com/qmr.jpg It splits the midi signal to 4 different paths and it works like a charm. To get Ableton to play along nicely you have to get your buffer size as low as possible ...

I've used Ableton in the past for laying down pre made tracks, but I have never used it in a live-looping sense. Is it possible to have Ableton loop something and then keep playing the track over and over unless turned off, as well as keeping the time when the track is turned off just as the KP3 ...

I use Ableton to record loops from my KP3. The clip view is excellent to record loops right on time and have them run after I stop recording. The inexpensive Native Instruments Launchpad is perfect for recording and starting/stopping loops. You get Ableton LE with the launchpad. If you just want to ...
