I've used Ableton in the past for laying down pre made tracks, but I have never used it in a live-looping sense. I agree that this is would be an excellent machine, if it was a real standalone machine. Now it's actually a step back. I can sequence better in Ableton or even Propellerhead Reason.

And it's not that intuitive imho.

I use Ableton to record loops from my KP3. The clip view is excellent to record loops right on time and have them run after I stop recording.
