There are differences, but that thing comes very, very close.

I have the possibility to record with a real Minimoog in the studio, but I have to prepare sounds and later play them live, so I'm very tempted...

Interesting, thanks. Other conditions would be that the comment section in that Setlist is rather full (~500 chars) for every slot, and that it was edited using the external editor by Korg.

To be honest, I don't need a new platform. I'm still amazed by it's potential.

Software- or sample wise there's still room for improvements. Why don't add some SGX-2 upright pianos? Update the CX-3 samples?

Reproducable bug/crash in Setlist Mode?

I think I found a reproducable crash in Setlist Mode. Kronos X 88, OS 3.1.2 When in Setlist Mode with a comment expanded (pulled down) the Kronos crashes when you try to switch to another slot or change to Program/Combi mode, but only if there are notes playing (either on the keyboard or held by the ...

I had the opportuniy to play a Steinway D in the studio this weekend, what a wonderful instrument. What I noticed is that the RH3 does a very good job and comes pretty close. Of course you cannot imitate a 140k$ instrument perfectly, but playing with the real thing even made me appreciate more what ...

Re: KRONOS - AFRICA (TOTO) - [COVER]

Hi Guys, i made a video showing a cover of AFRICA - TOTO. In this video i use the Karma Scenes to switch de sounds. Have two combis in this cover. One is for the verse, chorus... And other is for solo. In the solo, i put the two voice (i made this in pitch, normally). YOUTUBE LINK: https://www ...

I happen to agree with godparticle, the Kronos sucks. They wasted all that memory and processing power on stupid things that nobody uses, like pianos, organs, strings, and virtual analog, instead of stuff that everybody needs, like the sound of monkeys jumping on a dead elephant. Not only don't ...

Re: Kronos is a flop!

I extensively auditioned the Kronos the other day (I haven't bought one yet) I walked away after the audition with a sad countenance, it is no wonder that the Yamaha Motif XF continues to out-sell the Kronos by 2-1 despite the fact that the Motif XF has far fewer features and synth engines etc ...

I never liked (electric) guitars on any keyboard, they never come close to the real thing, mostly because for them to sound like a guitar they need to be played like a guitar, and it's impossible to fake that on a keybed. Same for brass patches. Even if they sound perfect (they mostly don't) they ...

Had my 73 version for over a year and it feels near enough the same as it did on day one, with the exception that repeated playing has been part of the process of adapting naturally for overall feel etc. I realise things do wear down or loosen up over time and perhaps the keybed may appear to play ...

Well, with my Kronos 88 X I have to press very hard for the calibration bar to even appear. And the calibration tool won't accept "low" key pressures as a maximum. Very uncomfortable to use it that way. Is there a solution for this, does it get better (=lighter) over time? I only have the Kronos for ...

Sound artifacts similar to too low ASIO latency settings

I received my Kronos X 88 today and did some short testing before I had to go to work. Unfortunately I got some hissing artifacts with almost all Combis and Programs I tested. It sounds similar to the artifacts as if the latency setting is too low in the ASIO driver on the pc using VSTs. I didn't ...
