Thanks for the advice, Reuben. Yes, I use the Songbook with the PA3X. The Technics KN7000 has an almost identical system (called Favorite Songs with the KN7000) that sets up as many as 24 total keyboard registration setups for each song. I can't find a way to get more than 4 STS registrations with ...

RC, one of the things I miss most with Korg stuff is the lack of registrations similar to the way Technics, Roland, and Yamaha offer. I got into the habit of using Technics panel memories to make registration changes with a foot switch as I progressed through a song. The Technics KN7000 gave me 24 ...

I found a service center on the second try that would change the clock battery while I waited. It took him about 20 minutes to change the little CR2032 lithium battery. That was about three weeks ago. The clock is working fine now.

It is a long trip for me to travel to a repair facility. I would like to have a clock battery with me just in case the repair shop doesn't have one. Don't want to make two trips. Can someone post the battery type so that I can buy a battery to take with me? Buying an unneeded battery is a lot ...

Pete, I think you just got your PA3X is that not true? The clock in my keyboard worked for about three weeks or so. Then it became intermittent and finally just stopped working when the keyboard was switched to standby. I would assume that the internal electronics for this function should be the ...

I received and installed the replacement RAM backup battery today. It did not solve the problem with the clock.

I assume Korg is working on this issue along with the software update scheduled for the next month or so.

Thank you! A very informative tutorial.

In the past, working with Technics keyboards, I often copied elements from one style to another. For example, the intro from one style might be copied to a different similar style. I have not been able to find a way to do this with the PA3X. Is it possible?

"USB data transfer protocol 1.0 that PaSeries use."

Wow! I find that hard to accept. Is it a fact that the PA3X uses the old USB 1.0 data rate rather than 2.0? USB 2.0 has been out for a very long time . . .

You would usually start the intro using a major chord in the key of the song. The keyboard still responds to changes in chords after the intro begins (as do all keyboards I have used). In fact, you can get some interesting variations of the intro by careful use of chord changes during the intro. And ...

It bothers me a lot, Don. I find that i'm doing a lot of style editing. It's a great keyboard, probably the best available now, but some things bother me a lot. Like the issue with ensemble harmony cutting off abruptly if you use an ending1 as well as similar issues with intro1 and ensemble harmony ...

I removed my battery. It is easy to do if you have a small Phillips screwdriver. Three of the screws are unique so you need to keep them separate. When you turn the keyboard over to get at the bottom, you should be cautious to have the end that has the joystick off the edge of the table or support ...

Thank you, Rich.

Is this problem related to the internal clock losing it's time when the keyboard is switched to the standby mode?
