Re: Startup display still show SGX-1 not SGX-2

As I stated in my first post I updated first the subsystem to 6.06 before updating the main OS. My Kronos is an OG from 2011.

Re: Startup display still show SGX-1 not SGX-2

Thank you very much for your quick answer. Yes I have checked according to your hintsand the SGX-2 engine is definitely installed. However I am not sure I understand your explanation about the graphics displayed during startup relying on the subsystem firmware. Is it so that updating of subsystem is ...

Startup display still show SGX-1 not SGX-2

I have upgraded my original Kronos to latest firmware (6.06) and OS (3.1.4). However the startup display still shows SGX-1. I suspect the display update to SGX-2 was by an earlier firmware update. Anyone have info which firmare version that made the change? Also would it be a stupid risk to try to ...

stale Thanks for your advice. I do not think it would be easy to find a service technician and spare parts where I live. To be honest I do not feel much difference when hitting a black key with or without the weight. But on release a key without weight will return to idle more quickly and with some ...

Korg CX-3 NEW version - disassembling keybed

The weights on the black keys of my CX-3 (2000+ version) have started to fall off the the keys. I found 7-8 of the weights inside the cabinet after taking off the top panel. Anybody having a description of how to disassemble the organ so I can glue the weights on the keys againg? Have sourced the ...

I have to agree with MarPabl on gthis one, but I am glad I got to hear about it. Of course I am sure you would make it to Keyboard Magazine sooner or later, guess we just got the jump on it. Submit them a unit for review so we can get some hands-on reviews! I have tested and now use the Ocean Beach ...

CX3 - how to use drawbars on lower manual?

Probably stupid question: Playing a split CX3 program (ex A050 Cat on amojo) you may play the upper part drawbars by the 9 sliders in "Tone adjust" mode. What should I do to use the sliders for the lower part? And how do I access the lower part drawbars in a Combination? Changing drawbar positions ...

Yes I have checked both the bright and mellow drawbar curves as well as the vintage and clean wheel type. I do not know anything about the porting of the model from the physical CX3 to the model used in the Kronos. If Korg justed ported the more than 10 years old model without any redesign there ...

jeremykeys I agree completely on the fact that is hard to find two hammonds sounding identical and that the player often makes the big difference. But like Craig I struggle to program the Kronos to a real inspiring sounding clone. I am quite sure that Hammond B3s rolling out of the production line ...

I bought a Kronos last week and still is only scratching the surface of this fantastic instrument. Being focused on pianos and organ the first thing I started trying out was the CX-3 Tonewheel Organ. The presets did not impress much and I also prefer to use the drawbars, percussion and V/C actively ...
