Hey there It's probably as easy as it gets. You could either shorten an existing stab style or even a bass or make a new one. All you need is a zero attack on filter env, short decay with no sustain or release so that it's just a. Quick note with no hang time. Same on the amp envelope. The rest then ...

Sorry john s but to counter. Programming on an XL is easy, from Init to final sound once you are totally familiar, I've had mine since 08 ? when it was released. Personally I'd rather lose an arm than use the PC korg editor but that just shows we are different. Poly has never been a problem for me ...

Thanks very much for the replies, they'll prove to be invaluable I'm sure. I'm really looking forward to learning more about synthesis but mostly just to having fun, even if all I end up making are some fart noises lol. You will find the ms20 easier than the microkorg, the microkorg is actually ...

I've emailed and emailed asking why a sequencer can't hit bass notes, I mean come on korg, also that's sent amongst other small or large oversights however you see them

Hopefully I'll get an answer of which I will share

Well you would think BUT I personally I am starting to find limitations with it It's ok but it can't pass tempo information to its outputs if USB is master (computer DaW), which for me isn't a lot of good, it also doesn't manage to pass on synced cv to its outputs either. AND unbelievably it doesn't ...

Ok here we go as I can't download a patch and send it to you this is a good starter point. I assume you know how to get thru the edit pages with the 3 dials? Hope so. Goto full edit menu using clicky edit knob, from here on in most editing is the 3 rotary at the bottom. Create init patch Voice mode ...

Ok not being funny . That's honesty.

but what makes you think it was a microkorg?

Sounds more like my odyssey

Are you struggling to make a sync sound or match that particular version? I can help you with the sound

Obviously there's some after synth processing happening

Midi behaviour No sync cables connected other than USB in and MIDI and Cv out Maybe I am missing something but after connecting sq-1 via USB I would expect it to respond to convert if required and retransmit clock info across all outputs. It doesn't. It only transmits the note info being sent from ...
