I agree, it's hard to see sometimes. That's why i always repeat the menu option names on the right part of the screen. So that you can pause the video and do the steps i've described in the part.Squidward wrote:maybe you could use a stylus for your next videos so we can see where you are clicking more precisely.
Especialy the menue on the right side.
It is hard to recognise where you are clicking.
The video is only for showing the screens you encounter. But you are right, using a stylus would help a lot. The next video i will start using a stylus.
Thanks!
Finally got around to watch the video, Great job I must say.. I will probably have to watch it quite a few times and pause a lot more than that to get it all.
Very informative steps to procedure. Thanks for taking the time to do it Qui, very much appreciated. A lot of time must go into this, with shooting, transferring and editing.. Whew!

Yes, i've noticed that. But watching it feels a little uncomfortable.qrobinez wrote:That's why i always repeat the menu option names on the right part of the screen. So that you can pause the video and do the steps i've described in the part.
Thats why i think using a Stylus would make your Videos even better.

looking forward to your next vid

Hello,
Thank you for the video. It is great to watch.
I have a question about the stereo function. I see on the video that you only load the left channel multi samples with the left channel recordings. Is this correct, and how does the stereo working?

when you have a stereo sample and you load the Left channel, the right channel is automaticly assigned. So you only need to load the left channel to a zone.keekma wrote:I have a question about the stereo function. thanks for all the remarks. The new video about sidechaining and vocoding (same trick with control busses) will be up in the next few days.
The video after that will explain how the MS20 works and how to program your sounds with the patch panel included from the MS20.
I'm working on a storyboard for that MS20 video at the moment, but it's hard to keep things simple to understand for the ms20 because it can get really complex when you dive in the patch panel.

I am looking forward to the MS20 video, because the patch panel is one thing I find very difficult tot understand. Keep on the good work! Qui,
This was a very excellent video and it is very much appreciated. Not only from a "learning the Kronos" perspective, but also watching your workflow. Please keep them coming.
I would have liked to have seen how you would sample directly from the Computer into the Kronos. I have many patches on my Motif XF that I want to sample into the Kronos, but I'm having all kinds of problems going direct to the Kronos recorder.

I promised to get back to this thread when I checked it and it helped me out a lot. I needed it just to get a wav file from the PC as sample to the Kronos and with this great video it was a piece of a cake.
Thanks for creating and sharing it!

Well, I did it. I followed Qui's tutorial and much to my amazement, I managed to pull it off. It took me a little longer than 12 minutes to do it, but I learned a hell of a lot along the journey. Below is a demo of my attempt at putting the Omnisphere Nature Boy patch into my Kronos. Its missing about 15% of the nuance of the original, but its dang close for a first effort. I realized a couple of things I didnt do correctly in preparing the samples. This is really exciting and changes everything for me. I can see myself eventually doing my JD-990 now, or my D-550, or my Matrix 1000. OMG!
Come on guys don't be shy. Jump up and sample something for your Kroni. If I can do it, anyone can!!
Oh, and many thanks to Qui for the tutorial. Talk about shortening the learning curve. First rate!

Too much gear to list.
Indexing Problem
Hi Qui
When loading a sample onto kronos you have to setup index.
My kronos is a 73 key 6 x 12 keys I think that's right.
So 6 index with the possibility of 12 notes per index.
The problem is when I setup the first index with Zone range set to 12 notes the second index only let me use 11even though the Zone range is set to 12 and as I carry on It gets worse eventually only one note available.
All the necessary programming delete Ms and original key set to center has been done
I set original key to my original note A1 stereo.
All the programing was carried out in Sampling mode
Can anybody shed any light on what I’m doing wrong please?
I do like your video and samples keep the good work going.
