I think alternate hosting and torrent are perfectly viable solutions.
Most people don't realize that torrenting isn't a "pirating" solution though it is sometimes used for that yes. If you look at any larger linux distribution though, they often have a torrent for it.
I'm putting it up on my Dropbox now, I'll try my best to get it out to people too... And when I get home I'll generate an MD5 and put it up in a torrent so people can start peering it instead of dealing with Korg's site.
Unacceptable Download Speed on KORG.SHOP.COM. PLEASE HELP.

If you have a linux based machine you can try this from a terminal:
aria2c -x 16 -s 16 http://www.gearzonemusic.com/Kronos/EXs17.zip
Download down to around 30 minutes here, still slow as hell but better!

Mathieu Maas provided a temporary alternative download location for EXs17. I managed to download from there in 15 minutes yesterday, compared to the 30hours + and still failure from the official site.
Not ideal, but a good workaround in this case. With such a fast alternative download, it seems indeed that Korg needs to update their service..
Have demo'ed the wonderful new programs yesterday and just bought them from the Korg website

I don't know how fast this location is, but give it a try. It's EX17, so likely faster than Korg.

Sorry, Dropbox suspended my account for "excess bandwidth usage"
I didn't know they'd do that, but I guess it makes sense.
I'll see about setting up a torrent tomorrow.
