Invitation - Kronos live on stage
This saturday I have a gig which is very important to me for several reasons:
- Very first gig with my new band
- First gig ever with my new keyboard: Kronos 88
- Very exciting gig because it's the first round of the "Clash of the coverbands", a multinational contest for coverbands.
I'd like to invite everyone who can make it to Eindhoven (The Netherlands) this saturday (26th of may). I can use everyone's support!
Free entrance at "Lokaal 8" in Veldhoven (near Eindhoven), show starts at 20:30.
The location website:
http://www.lokaal8.nl/contact
More info about The Clash contest: http://www.theclashofthecoverbands.com/
Best case scenario: We win this round and stay in the contest (which would mean TV and Radio broadcasts, professional coaching, etc...)
Worst case scenario: Kronos reboots during our ballad (which is mainly a piano song)
I'll post a report on how it went next week!

You might use another synth as backup however I never got any problems with the Kronos during rehearsal and one gig I had.
Good luck and I am going try to to be there, it's not far from here, but I have a very busy week and possibly busy weekend too.

Will this be aired on Omroep Brabant TV as well, Mathieu?
I know they aired bits and pieces of The clash of the coverbands before.

I'm really getting stressed out
Even though I haven't seen random reboots yet, it scares me. Also, the incident a few days ago that my set lists were gone doesn't help.
Yesterday, while I was practicing, there were some random notes hanging all the time... Turned it off and back on and it was gone...
I don't really have a backup:
- Sold my Yamaha piano
- Going back to other gear (I still have a Fantom XR and a MIDI controller) feels like going back to 20th century
- I didn't spend 4k on a synth to not use it on stage!

I just returned from his gig and he continued to the next round of Clash of the Coverbands.
Of course I voted for him but from the 4 bands played his band was absolutely the best. Two bands were not good at all, the other was quite well but not as theirs. Btw, that band also continued for the next round.
Thanks for inviting and if time permits we also will join the next round.
Also it was nice to see him in person (for those who don't know: he created the beautiful orange/black logo of PCG Tools and started the web version).

Thanks for the kind words, Michel! It was really nice to meet you and your girlfriend in person.
Kronos-wise everything went just perfect! Literally plug 'n play. No more consideration buying a Roland Juno Stage as backup!!
