I actually don't have a clue how you could stabilize your set, but I'm very interested in ideas on that topic as well. All I can say is that I tried to integrate the e2 into my Live set for several hours and I wasn't able to find a stable setup. I have a similar setup as you have: electribe 2, Push ...

I guess you just forgot to to freeze the device before you released it.

Looks like an awesome work, looking forward to test it!

Do you mean soundlessly select parts or soundlessly select menu shortcuts? I think that's where my confusion came from. I thought you're talking about "soundlessly selecting menu shortcuts". But it seems you were talking about "soundlessly selecting parts". I'm on 1.03 and was talking about ...

I do wish you could use shift+pad to soundlessly select them. Instead you need shift+trigger/keyboard+pad to do so. I don't get that. The Shift+Pad combos do work "silently" in every mode the pads can be in (Part Erase, Trigger, Sequencer, Keyboard, Chord, Step Jump, Pattern Set), as far as I can ...

I don't have that problem with Ableton Live on a 64bit Win 8.1 machine (can't test it with Cubase).

Maybe it's just the driver (I don't use it). You could uninstall it and try it with the driver Win 8.1 installs upon next connection.

Maybe you have to press Menu/Enter one or two more times, don't know. LCD Contrast adjustment didn't help? I have a hard time to imagine what else it could be. Anyway, I guess you're better off writing to Korg support. I'm pretty sure there's a way to reset the e2 with a button combination while ...

Maybe your child turned the LCD Contrast down to 0. But if I turn it to 0 I can still see the menu, when I look on the screen from the side. Anyway, I try to guide you blindly to the menu setting. First to the LCD Contrast: - turn off your e2 and turn it on again and wait like 30 seconds until it's ...

Korg, if you're listening, here's a suggestion. Add a few more audio input modes. Audio Thru 1: Passes stereo audio directly to outputs, bypassing synth and effects engine, mixed with electribe's output. (current behavior) Audio Thru 2: Routes stereo audio to Master Effect section, but not to synth ...

Ted, my personal hero of today, that's exactly the workaround I was looking for, thanks a lot!

I'm gonna edit OP with your solution, case closed.

(Even though I still think having an "Audio In FX only (bypass trigger pads)" feature would be nice.)

Thanks for your contributions guys. @roblabs: The Audio In option doesn't work as looper, the trigger pads work as kind of a gate. @Spheric El & dutchcow: Recording one long note is exactly what I tried (see op). But with that you get the hiccup I described, because there will be a tiny gap ...

That's true, but that's not really an answer to my question. Let me rephrase it:

Can you use the FX chain on audio from external sources without the limitations described in the opening post?

Working with the Audio In oscillator on the electribe2

A question regarding the "Audio In" oscillator: as far as I can see there are two possibilities to play the part with the external audio source. Either you use the step sequencer as kind of a gate sequencer, i.e every selected step opens the gate and the audio gets through. Or you record one long ...
