MOD-7 factory sounds.

I've just purchased the MOD-7 verification code, and unlocked this module. However, I can't find any programs or combinations that uses MOD-7 in the OASYS. When I installed the LAC-1, there were several programs available that used this. I have installed the latest OS (1.3.3.3). I understand that ...

Great Tutorial!

As a new OASYS owner, nothing beats a DVD to get you started. This instrument (even tough it's discontinued), has really impressed me a lot. Watching this DVD will save most users a lot of time in the "starting phase"... The quality is generelly very good, and the shooting angles makes it easy to ...

Re: "Future-proof"

Of course you do, because you didn't buy the upgrades (yet) and would benefit from the above strategy. I'm sure others who paid for the upgrades would be even more unhappy. I can imagine the posts now: "Not only did they screw me on the discontinuation of the OASYS, but I paid full price on the ...

Re: "Future-proof"

One idea for Korg: Why not cut the price (or give it away) for the LAC-1/MOD-7/EXs3 expansions? Registered users/owners of the OASYS should not have to pay any more money to get the most out of this instrument now that it's discontinued. This would be a nice way to say: "Thank you for buying our ...

"Future-proof"

As I said in my last posting: I knew the OASYS was discontinued when I bought it. I would also love to see Korg continue the development of the OASYS, but I'm afraid the fact is that this is not going to happen! One idea for Korg: Why not cut the price (or give it away) for the LAC-1/MOD-7/EXs3 ...

I own an OASYS, and I am not ashamed to admit that I cannot use this instrument to it's full extent. The OASYS (in spite of it's shortcommings), still is one of the most versatile, keyboards ever made.

I'm a relative new OASYS owner, and I was aware that the OASYS had bee discontinued at the time of purchase. The retail price here in Norway was dropped by 40-60% about a month ago. As a result, the 3-4 units (both 76 and 88) in stock, was sold within a week or so. The only OASYS available here at ...

As I said: I knew that production of OASYS was over when I purchased it. Nothing new here.... What I also was told, was that I've got a very good price, and that there would not to be a "dumping sale" of the OASYS here in Norway (or the rest of the world for that matter). The retail price of the ...

The great rip off....

As being an Oasys owner, I expect all Oasys updates are made available FREE of charge unless substantial value can be demonstrated to the end users. Also I expect that Oays users get a cost discount for all future KORG purchases as a "damage premium" to the investment / drop of its market value. In ...

Circuit board anyone?

One of the Korg-dealers here in Norway told me that one of the reasons for the OASYS to "die", was that one of the circuit-boards was no longer available to Korg. Sounds weird to me....... Not a good statement for the future maintainence of "the big O" if this is correct! Does anybody here know i ...

Won't Get Fooled Again

Kerzwhile wrote:Just Get A Kurzweil K2600!! Its a preset!! :P
You can also get the "new" Kurzweil PC3/PC3X. It's pre-loaded there as well. I've got one (PC3) in addition to my OASYS 88. -Works great together!

Future of the OASYS

Another thing that puzles me....... The "heart" of the OASYS is largely made up by computer parts: 40GB Hard Drive, CD-R/RW, 10.4 inch TFT TouchView screen, Intel P4 prosessor, ram-memory, and a main-board of some kind to mount the components on. Will it be possible to get these parts in 5 years or ...

Number of OASYS produced?

I have just joined "the club of OASYS owners". Expecting deliverance this week. (And, Yes I knew the production was ended when I ordered it.) The price for an 88 was reduced by nearly 50%, and I relly wanted one. In any case, here is my question: Is there anyone here on the forum (or at Korg) that ...
