Having same "no response" problem. All other MIDI functions work, but I can not get this editor to do anything.

I want to do the same. I tried the line input going into the back where the Vocoder goes, but it was not loud enough. Probably need a preamp.

Apparently both items in the ZERO line are discontinued. Nick over at SonicState.com spoke with Korg last week and they confirmed that the ZEROs are discontinued here in the U.S.

Ok, I finally found it. I had not noticed the little Pattern button in the editor.

Sorry but I still don't follow. I do not know how to make the sliders appear on the pad.

I have been trying to do the virtual sliders, but cannot figure it out. How do you "pick a pattern" please. I can't find any reference to this in the manual.

So is there a workaround for this?

Is there a way I can trigger the recording of a sample through MIDI? I see in the editor that I can assign MIDI commands to the A-D buttons, but the SAMPLING button does no seem controllable. Just got word from Musicians Friend that the Zero 8 is discontinued . I placed an order week before last for a Zero 8. They did a nice price match and told me the unit was back ordered until the 10th. I checked in on it today to see if they were still arriving on schedule. They said that Korg told ...

Check your cables because it should work fine. This is how I have mine set up on my Mackie mixer. No reason it should not work just as well on the Zero, or on any mixer.

OK, I placed an order with Musicians Friend for a Zero8. They have a 30 day return, so I can check it out without much risk. They also price matched the djdeals.com price of $839. Bad news is it is backordered until Oct 10.

You can simply plug the KP3 output into a channel input rather than into the return. Then you can record or manipulate it like any other device.

I am shopping for a used Zero 8, but after reading through these forums I am hesitant. Are there still hiss and meter problems? Does the described volume solution work? I will be using this in a small home studio.
