Multiple programs through midi?
Hey guys, so I just found out how to control the R3 through "Guitar Pro", a notation sequencing program. Hooray! Now what I'm wondering is, (and this might be a silly question): Is it possible for the R3 to sound more than one program at a time? As in, assign different programs to different tracks?

Wow, thanks for posting that video Timo! Brought clarity to the concepts I've learned about. mixmexman, I highly recommend just playing around with the synth, and with this knowledge (there's also this http://www.angelfire.com/in2/yala/2ansynth.htm if you wanna get geeky lol). I've learned that with ...

I too am curious as to what parameters exactly you're speaking of... just the other night I was experimenting with the arpeggiator, and there were actually some amazing and dynamic sounds that were created. I actually find when creating a program, latching a few notes and then having the freedom to ...

This was posted here before, and I found it incredibly helpful. It discusses the principals of subtractive synthesis. Doesn't necessarily teach you "how" to create the sounds, but it gives you some essential rudiments.

question: hooking a guitar to R3
Hey, just wondering, is it possible? I once tried selecting "audio in" as Osc1 and plugging the guitar into Line 1, but no dice there. Is there a way to make it work? Another option that just came to mind is making a basic vocoder program, micing the guitar amp and playing with the effects from ...

A way to record the R3 sounds (the sounds coming from the R3) directly into a recording program is to utilize the "Line-In" of your sound card. There exists cords that are "Stereo In" (R & L, yellow and orange in this case) - "Mini Out" (the size that fits the standard sound card's 'Line In' input ...

Simple R3 question
Trying to transmit an R3 program (Fireflyz from the recently posted topic), but it's not flyin'. R3's connected to USB, I save the file, Open R3 Editor, New Library, Open fireflies_lead.rp3 to A1, and yet..... the program that plays through my output is the program I have saved to my R3's A1, not ...

You need to start somewhere simple. Initialize a patch and start from there. After you've initialized a patch, print and read this: http://www.angelfire.com/in2/yala/2ansynth.htm It is the synthesis bible. Print it out, and refer to it regularly. :) Experiment using the initialized patch. You'll ...

Recording Midi from R3
Hey, my goal is to record the sounds from my R3 directly into my computer using a USB connection, and I have a couple questions: 1) Is it even possible? 2) What would be a solid program to use? (One that can record and mix multiple tracks, but you know, not ProTools) I've tried using a simple midi ...
