Re: beavering away ......

Definitely interesting. The funny thing is that I think I'd picture penguins dancing even without the pic on SoundCloud

Thanks for sharing!

Cheers!

Re: Rising Bass Sound

Oops, that's my bad. I was answering from work and had a bit of a brain hiccup. I figured the PolySix has the simplest layout but forgot about the lack of portamento thing. The AL-1 is still a good engine for from-scratch patches. And I'm 100% certain it's got portamento  That depends on what ...

What Sander said! Another personal favorite of mine with the real-time controls is to set up the vector joystick to control tape delay depth and time on the X and Y for immensely spacey sounds! Also, check out the Glass Runner patch for some inspiration with FX and busses. I dare you to leave ...

Re: Rising Bass Sound

That depends on what you mean by "rising". I would suspect that in any case the answer to your question lies in the envelope generators (EG/ADSR) and using a long attack (the A in A DSR). The full answer would depend on whether you were looking for the bass pitch to rise or for a filter to open and ...

Well, the ease of which new engines can be introduced notwithstanding, the engines already in place I believe cover everything you mentioned right out of the box. I think the Kronos HD-1 engine is the most versatile hardware sampling engine I've ever worked with. That and Korg have opened up the ...

I would say audition the Kronos with headphones and if you can hear the performance just patch the headphones directly to the Scarlett and see what happens from there.

Best of luck

If so, that would be a quite acceptable workaround. I know the -303 (and -202) had the accent control the VCF as well as VCA (this was user-selectable with the -202) so one could "hard-code" the VCA accent using motion sequencing then just perform the VCF accents with the (gratuitously proportioned ...

In this case I would still recommend tying the MG/LFO to the VCF and/or VCA and use the ribbon controller (CC#16) to vary the intensity (intensity mod in the controller pop-up window of the PolysixEX Main window when you've highlighted the MG Level control). That should do the trick for you. Good ...

I prefer extremely atmospheric tracks like Future Sound of London, Skinny Puppy, Pink Floyd, Front Line Assembly, Front 242, trance music in the vein of Paul van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold, The Orb, Brian Eno, Enigma, Mogwai, Erasure, Explosions in the Sky, Sonic Youth, Depeche Mode and just about ...

Phew! ( wipes brow ) They've had a good run. Next step: fully analog (or analog+user-definable PCM) electribe ER (ER-eXtreme?) with multiple outs (just 4, I'm not greedy! :P), tubes and potentiometer interface to take on Tempest! Okay, maybe I am getting greedy... Cheers! I believe that only the ...
