Don, I also have a PA 80,and a PA900, sound wise I think the 80 has the edge, also I think the styles are a lot better, unfortunately the 900 has the technology. I would also add that I think the 80 is better built. The piano sounds on the 80 are awesome. Just my 10cents worth. Thank you my friend ...

Saving For A PA900
Though I really want a PA 900, my PA 80 still sounds pretty good. This was done with vocal through the keyboard using acoustic guitar layered with AIR CLOUDS synth pad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vp4svBadR9o&index=34&list=PL89S1SBYNgNySBInvZOZuqNUPQFHR1V0x https://app.box.com/s ...

Thanks Don, Sounds like it will work. At first when I rented the PA 800 I wasn't sold on the TC harmony but when I listen to the songs I recorded from that keyboard I hear what I like. I think the $3000 price point on that board made me think that I was better off with my outboard Digitech. By the ...

PA 900 Vocal Harmony
After listening to your recording, I imagine every one else is intimidated by your great singing voice - that is a superb recording by the way - thanks for posting it here. Thanks Billy, So I would lose one harmony voice as my Digitech has 4. I appreciate your input even though you don't sing and ...

As I stated in the above post. I tried to get some advice on the 900's vocal processing with no reply.
Don't understand why my queries are being ignored.

Don

PA 900/Vocal Harmony
I originally posted this on another thread but got no response. It may more appropriately should have been posted here as I am interested in the PA 900's vocal processing qualities. Karmanever and I had been referencing Yamaha's VH2. Karmathanever, As a singer I was appalled at the quality of Yamaha ...

Karmathanever, As a singer I was appalled at the quality of Yamaha's VH2. I am glad to see you use the term unusable because it is almost a joke. I have a Yamaha PSR S 750 because the vocal processing on the 950 which I really wanted for the convenience of onboard harmony while performing, was just ...

800/900
I rented a PA 800 a while back and wrote quite a few songs in the month that I had it. I really liked the keyboard but it was too expensive. I still have my Korg PA 80 which functions quite well but I loved having quality onboard harmony on the 800 as I am a singer. I understand the PA 900 has ...

To the Memory of Phil Everly
When I heard of the recent passing of one of the icons of pop music I was inspired to write this song on my Korg PA 80.

Does anyone know how this is done? I've done it in the past but can't remember how I did it.

Eastern/Western Music
Korg keyboards are enormously popular with players who perform ethnic music from the various European and Asian cultures. My initial experiences with the PA arrangers was through rental units. If you rent a keyboard that gets rented fairly regularly for ethic celebrations there will not be much ...

Vocal Harmony
I mentioned in the previous posts that I use vocal harmony in my songs. When I started searching for a unit to work with my PA 80 my research led me to lust over TC Helicon's Voice Live 2 which was about $1200 Canadian about 4 years ago. Helicon is regarded as the "flagship" in the world of vocal ...

PA 800 Song
This past winter I rented a PA 800 to see what the upgraded and retooled PA arranger had to offer. I was inspired enough to write a whole CD using the 800. I really liked the capability to step on a footswitch and bring in the onboard TC Helicon harmonies but with the harmony being not as good as ...
