I had the same problem and solved it by shortening the file name.

I believe it was the length and not a used character (like space) that unabled the save function, but I'm not absolutely sure.

Why not put the back tracks on your cellphone/iPod and use the Korg's inputs to play these tracks. That way you have all freedom when using your programs, effects, etc ... I know it can be difficult to include other devices if you might think Kronos should be able to do it... It is a matter of work ...
