+1 for King Korg. Now only 98 votes to go :D

Although your software covers a broader spectrum it's funny that R3 with an official editor got more votes.

Got mine a few days ago and here's some thoughts off the top of my head: Pros : Nice sound, quite accessible, easy to grasp Cons : So-so build quality (especially the black parts of the keyboard, though even Kronos gave me the same feeling), - somewhat pointless PCM section (could serve as ...

From my view the acoustic pianos are toy stuff, not seriously useable. Not holding back anything, I just don't see why you don't get by with the meanwhile various youtube examples - and perhaps test one at your local dealer. I'm glad I get my music going in the limited time I have for it. Why ...

xmlguy, if you only read the title of the software you downloaded and installed: it reads "librarian" not "editor". looks like the editor is yet to materialize. @jimknopf: was expecting some sound demos from you since you had it for sometime now but maybe you're holding back for a dedicated KK ...

I checked the KK thoroughly and have meanwhile bought it, because - with all it's limitations - it fits very well for my purposes. I could write a user review with up- and downsides, but I won't do so in this general synth section, because this is no good place for a dedicated discussion about pros ...

Expcept, that from the demos I get the impression that the KK does sound significantly better than both in my ears (in the sense of a more analog soounding VA). And of course that (and rather the sound quality and choice than the number of filters) is the main point for me of using a synth. The ...

As I heard, this device was indeed not developed by the US team and probably is a pure Japanese project. I always admired the Japanese creative inventiveness in music business. But during the last years I also saw loads of inconsistent mismatches coming from there. They seem to have a tendency ...

Sorry, the first version is gone! From the video, the hi-hat sound is definitely white noise from the VCS3. If you want to vary the hi-hat pattern, go to timbre 2, then page 32. There you can edit the hits by turning them on and off thru the arpeggiator. As for adjusting the hi-hat sound, play with ...

downtownpaulyp,

could you post the initial patch? i took your second patch for granted thus overwrote the first one but this second patch doesn't sound/feel right. it might be different form what gilmour does on the video but i prefer the one you yourself did by ear ;)

ok this might sound funny but the first patch you designed sounded closer to the original

is there any way the hihat could be improved? (more pronounced so it sounds like a hihat instead of a small shaker)

thank you. again

Download the latest--I corrected On The Run after watching a DVD of David Gilmour demonstrating the sequence on a VCS3. Whilst he keyed it in beginning on a C, I noticed it's actually in E-flat; he must have it transposed up 3 semitones. The note sequence keyed in on DVD is: C - C an octave lower ...

hi motise, here's how it works: you'll do all your uploading&downloading from the editor connected to your computer via USB (or MIDI in&out in rare cases). so i assume you already installed that and made sure it recognizes your R3. sounds for R3 come in two formats: R3l and R3p. L files contain full ...

worked like a charm (the trick being assigning the audio-in to osc).

thanks a lot x-trade. but do confirm me about the analog patches:)
