Ok. I give up. If all are happy with this OS behaviour it's no use to complain. Korg will not do anything about their filesystem inconsistencies. And you are right, if nothing is done about this problems I will be no customer in the future. Will rather buy some more software synth. Last remark: If ...

@Dan: Isn´t it tiresome to have people always fall over the same OS bugs, which you obviously have to sell as well documented features? ... In contrast, you are just crashing the thread with your usual tiresome attempts at insults. Since you no longer own the product, there is only one ...

Please note that the length limitation is for the entire file path, which includes the names of all enclosing directories as well as the file name itself: What's the reason for this limitation? Can it be fixed in future versions? Linux certainly doesn't have a limit of 76 characters per path, and ...

Screws coming out of keyboards seems to be fairly common. Every Motif 8 that goes through my shop has missing screws. I have a box of replacements just for that model! Geo If i remember correctly there is a product called 'Locktit' for that purpose. i.e. securing screws. Maybe manufacturers should ...

All music is created with some emotion and feeling whether it be jazz, rap, techno, classical or whatever. This piece has been created with feeling but I respect that we are all entitled to our own opinions. Your comments above should be enclosed in "THIS IS MY PERSONAL REACTION TO THIS MUSIC" and ...

Re: Thought for the day.

There has to be silence for sound to exist. There has to be emptiness for matter to exist. Emptiness and silence matter. Those two things are the starting point of musical creation. The amount of galaxies stars and planets is awesome, the amount of silent space, more so. Infinite space for mystery ...

I have to admit .. I eagerly waited for some news and a video about the Schmidt synth. :) I am a fan of digital synths and no big analog fanboy but this thing is PHATT. I love the sheer size of it and all those buttons and the wall of sound its able to generate. Digital synths should also have that ...

He is not alone anymore. The german distributer for Moog synths has helped him develop his prototype into a product. Mr. Zimmer already got the first Schmidt synth afaik. But I doubt he will produce more than 100 of this nice monster. Would love to play for some time on it and pay a fee for that ...

Interesting read! Will lok into the videos as soon as possible. I read Gaz Williams (sonictouch, sonictalk) blog recently about him being part of the opera project Pop'pea. Very interesting to see how they organized the keyboard parts and patch switching. It´s pretty obvious that the computer with ...

It´s a little bit silly to be that haughty about Yamaha. The Korg Kronos is also not state of the art . Just look how modern UIs work and compare it to this 1995 style Atari ST Interface in color. Just look how easy the iMS20 APP is in comparison to the Kronos MS20 interface. It does not help to ...
