Doubling/Layering a bass sound with itself an octave apart?
Hi (maybe Qui has an excellent response to this one). I am looking for a way to layer/double a specific syn-bass sound with an octave of itself. I can already layer two DIFFERENT sounds and save it as a custom keyboard set, but I cannot see anything in the built-in effects listings with an ...

Thanks for the warning... If it goes out of calibration again anytime soon, then I will have the joystick unit replaced. I made sure not to toiuch anything else in the maintenance menus and didn't dare try to "explore" options. Since I use mainstage, I can see the actual position in the MIDI signal ...

Kronos Sounds in Soft form?
Apologies if this question has been asked and answered, a brief search of the forums didn't get me any relevant hits. Now that the Kronos has been discontinued for quite some time and replaced by the Nautilus, is there a plugin/vst version of some of the sounds that were on the Kronos/Kronos2 that ...

PITCH-BEND ISSUE - SOLVED !
Hey all, Just to let you know that I have found a fix to the pitch-bend/articulation joystick issue that I've been having for many months now. At first I thought I would have to remove the unit and either adjust or replace either the return springs or the potentiometers... However, just found this ...

I believe that the drum kits are all standardised irrespective of whether it's Korg, Yamaha, Roland, etc... irrespective of if you're using built-in sounds on hardware instruments or VSTs in a DAW or live-patch software like Mainstage. B2/C2 are pretty much ALWAYS kick-drum C#2 pretty much always ...

Korg EXP-2 on PA5X - Reduce sensitivity ?
Hi, I've had the EXP-2 expression pedal for my PA5X for a little over a year, and I'm still finding it OVERLY sensitive. This is especially the case when doing cinematic/epic stuff with strings when I want to do dynamic effects. I find that moving the pedal just a fraction of a centimetre has a ...

I don't own a Kronos (though I would love to be able to find a good condition Kronos2...) Your comment about transpose/pitch-bend sparked my interest though. On my PA5X, I have an issue where if I use the pitch-bend/articulation joystick, upon return to dead-center, the sound is often de-tuned by a ...

If the Kronos2 hadn't already been discontinued I would have gone for one instead of my PA5X (with which I'm not eccstatically happy -- but it was either that or the Nautilus whcih when trying out in a shop I found just too fiddly to try to navigate for "real-time" live stuff, and the lack of AT at ...

Felt Piano sound
Kudos to Qui Robinez for his tutorial on creating a felt piano on the PA5X. I'm just curious though.. Isn't there a way to modify the built-in Cinematic Grand to do the same thing by simply eliminating the pad overlays, but still keeping the damper and pedal sound effects? For me this would be a ...

I've never had takedowns (yet) on my YouTube... I do often get copyright claims though, usually for my own originals, but occasionally for other covers or interpretatons (some of which should not have been copyright claimed in the first place since the works are classical compositions in the public ...

I have the black spots on some of the buttons, but it's not too much of a distraction for me since a lot of the time I'm in the sound edit mode to do individual instruments rather than arranger mode with KSets (though I do use Keyboard sets for several things, especially for layered sounds). For me ...
