That makes sense somewhat, I just need to dive in to editing (probably with the manual) and get my feet wet. Hopefully it will be somewhat intuitive in the EG params - I've gotten lost in many menu structures on past attempts and had to give up for the time being.

Thanks for the reply!

"You Dropped A Bomb On Me" - editing newbie

Got a practical question here: I'm an editing newbie and need to know how to get the sound from "You Dropped A Bomb On Me" - the diving pitch bend whistle sound that evokes a bomb falling from the sky. I guess I could adjust the joystick parameters and bend it manually, but I would like to have it ...

I'm certainly no guru yet, but you can create a single combi with the 2 or 3 sounds you need, and use the Play/Mute/Solo buttons on the touch screen to turn on and off the sound(s) you need without the interruption of switching to the next combi in the bank.

Confounded by Combis

Hey guys, I've had my M373 for several months but it's my first Korg board so I'm still a bit of a newbie. I'm only now getting serious about trying to figure out how to make and edit combis. I'm previously used to the "Alesis way" for combis (mixes) and it's not anywhere close the Korg way. I've ...

It was not the physical key getting stuck, just the note off message apparently not working.

Mystery glitch...

I've got an M3-73 with memory and Radias boards, upgraded to v2.0 Xpanded several weeks ago with no problems whatsoever. However, this past weekend, I booted up and within a few minutes of playing the middle D note was stuck "ON" and only a shutdown would stop the note. This happened THREE times in ...

Interesting approach - talking down to those whose help you're seeking. #-o

Perhaps you should just put in the time necessary to discover that what you need already exists in this forum, and then go to the store for a hands-on eval.

Best of luck!

Any of the "Classic Threads" applicable to the M3?

The M3 is my first Korg so I'm new to all the menus, procedures, etc. I'm curious if any of the postings in the "Classic Threads" forum are still relevant on the M3? For instance, are there sequencing, sampling, or sound editing functions that have been carried forward from the Triton series, or is ...

Great points, thanks to you both. I'll stick with the original lineup of progs and just use the screen to browse by category.

newbie question re: PRODUCER.PCG

Hey guys - great forum. Another stoked M3-73 newbie here. Gotta question about the PRODUCER.PCG file update on Korg.com. On one hand it makes sense to group all the sounds within a category (like the Alesis QS keyboards I cut my teeth on), however, there seems to be a downside: "Note: When PRODUCER ...

Saving programs to a User bank is covered in the Editing Programs chapter in the manual. I saw the screen display feature in one of Stephen Kay's videos.
