I tihnk the biggest issue here is understanding exactly how to rout all signals so that things can be auditioned, recorded and played back. To do this, I suggest making a template in Pro-Tools with an Aux track for auditioning while recording midi and making edits, and an audio track to print the ...

Pro-Tools is infamous for not liking other gear. The best way to use MIDI in Pro-Tools is to use the actual MIDI ins and outs of your Digidesign interface. You may get it working otherwise for a while, but one day it will stop working for no apparent reason.

If all you are interested in is recording your keyboard sounds onto your computer and nothing more, this is pretty easy, and can be accomplished with a splitter cable and adapter (Y style cable with two 1/4" jacks on one side, and one on the other, plus an adapter that goes from 1/4" to 3/8 ...

I have the Radias (I am a guitar player by nature too) and I love it! Being a synth, the idea is that you can synthesize any sound you want. Granted some sounds are harder to synthesize than others. But if you're like me, your probably into weird noises (IE: NIN), and I have been able to come up ...

Yeah I read up on it at http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/allsynthsecrets.htm and it does seem pretty hard, though not entirely impossible. I wasnt refering to your patch, but I'd like to check it out! I have the abbey road refill pack for Reason, and I love mixing the Mellotron strings and flutes ...

"Traditional" Sounds

I know it kind of defeats he purpose of having a synth, but I dont want to go out and get another sound module. So I was wondering if anyone out there has been able to make a convincing acoustic piano sound, or flutes or anything that sounds like more traditional instruments? I found a pretty cool ...

Well, Im still not making any headway on this, so heres what I'll do. If you live in the L.A. area, are knowledgeable about the Radias and its sound editor, and can help me get this going and explain a little on how it's supposed to work so I can finally "get it", I can do any of these things for ...

Oh sorry, I did mention it in detail on another post, but I guess Im getting them all jumbled up! Well, I was using the 'ol Radias one day, just going through the sounds and playing them to find something close to what I was looking for, when all of the sudden between playing two noted the sound ...

Which interface do you have? I dont know how to use the Radias with the USB connection, but if your interface has MIDI In/Out, you can set it up to where you play/write the MIDI noted with your keyboard in Cubase, and have their output go to your MIDI Out, then connect the Audio Outputs of your ...

Yes I understand that the USB/MIDI is faster, and while editing any sound or reinstalling the OS I would definetly do it using USB. But what I was previousely getting at is the simple fact that I dont have a good understanding of what the setup is for and how it works with the Radias. Setting up ...

I worked at GC briefly and purchased the floor model with my GC discount. Thats the only way I could have afforded it, or any synth for that matter. I'd love a Virus too, but I think they too much money into aesthetics to keep the price high.
