OK. Unmodified, the Roland EV-5 pedal will work with the Kronos, but the signal levels generated internally in the Kronos, as pedal position is varied, will be very different to the levels obtained when the Tip and Ring jack connections are reversed. The link below shows these levels plotted, based ...

Organimation for Krome ROCKS!

I picked up regular Sunday gig at a local church and we do a ton of modern rock worship tunes, and coincidentally a lot of the tunes need B3 organ. I purchased Organimation from K-Sounds at http://www.ksounds.com/html/organimation_krome.html , and it is really fantastic. It's an example of what ...

Good review! I had my Krome 73 for one week and then it stopped working so I had to send it back to Germany and waiting for a new one (see my post about it). Anyway, some things I would have wanted: A set list for setting up sounds and combos for live performances. With maybe around 6-8 sounds on ...

Krome 73 Review

Hello all - I just received my new Krome 73, and wanted to share my experience with you. I also own a Kronos 88 and M50 so I have some basis of comparison. 1) Sounds: Acoustic piano - The main reason I bought this was the acoustic piano. The Kronos pianos are brilliant, and Korg managed to do an ...

Krome inspired improvements coming to Kronos or not?

Forgive me if there have been other posts glancing this topic, but specifically, for Dan at Korg, can Kronos users expect a revamped GUI based upon the Krome?

To modify the generated midnam to work properly, open the midnam file in a text editor (e.g. TextEdit, Text Wrangler, BBEdit) and do the following: 1. Replace: <Manufacturer>Korg</Manufacturer> <Model>Kronos v2</Model> with: <Manufacturer>KORG INC.</Manufacturer> <Model>KRONOS</Model> 2. Replace ...

Hi guys, KapnKrunch, sorry, no RTAS support at present. It will work with a VST wrapper within Pro Tools, though, and its CPU draw is relatively light, so all is not lost. -Rich Hello Rich - Have you (or anyone else) successfully used a VST wrapper for the Kronos editor? As far as I know, FXpansion ...

No joy with RTAS

so can i use the plugin in pro tools? i see no RTAS availability :( Nope. I just tried the FXpansion VST to RTAS "wrapper" method, and no luck. It wraps successfully, but Pro Tools (version 10) chokes when inserting the plugin. Infinite hang. This is a major bummer for any Pro Tool user who owns a ...

Re: how to eliminate buzz in power supply

I thought my Kronos had a strange buzz emanating from the far left hand side, until noticed my PC in the same room has it too...and they both come and vanish at the same time, and one machine can have it when the other is off, so I am guessing it is something common...perhaps external interference ...

There is some really great stuff here. I have been searching for a way to use the knobs to control program patch levels, and he nails it with the piano/string combi. Excellent technical work, and a great sense of taste.

Bravo!

Recommend acquiring an iPad and put the docs on it. You'll get a 2nd hand iPad 1 for close to the pricesbeing quoted here. I have all my musical documentation - over 30,000 pages worth - as PDF documents in iBooks on my iPad. For example, I have all of the Apple Logic / Mainstage... docs; all of NI ...

Follow up: I brought my M50 to a warranty repair shop, and they repaired a "defective jack" (under warranty), but unfortunately the problem reappeared just after I got it home. I purchased it from Sweetwater 6 months ago, and called them requesting a replacement. They agreed to do an ADVANCE ...
