"T5 can change the OTS to change with a variation change." So can Korg. As with Yamaha, you can select the mode with a button push. On PA900, the power on setup remembers the setting. On PA3x, it does not. Really? I never knew that. My Pa is gone now but how was that done in case I get another one?

In this case I suppose they've increased the max. number of Registrations Banks in T5, since in my old 9000Pro there's only 32 Banks with 8 numbers each, which is good enough for 'only' 256 possible song positions, not that it is absolutely unsufficient for the majority of the people, but it wasn't ...

<SNIP> 2. Why would he have to spare 5 Registrations for 1 song, considering he'll use same style and 1 or 2 different sounds?....that's just a no brainer. Is it so much more difficult to press the actual Fill-in buttons instead of Registration buttons? Here how it's done, fast and effective: Pick ...

Totally understand Pete... To each their own as they say. Thank goodness for both of us that we have the choice. Unlike you, I don't play professionally so have different needs. In fact while I agree the Tyros is not perfect (which arranger is?), and could well use some changes, I'm glad the two are ...

After having both a Pa3X and Tyros 5 for the past 18 months, decided to let one go. I've kept the Tyros. Once it gained a 76 note keyboard it got the last feature missing from the T4 and reason I bought my Pa. I just found the voices, especially the Organworld, its styles, more flexible use of HD ...

Using a vplume pedal is essential for any instrument other than those affected by keying velocity like pianos etc. Exactly why it's called an expression pedal on an organ!

The forum over at Head-Fi is a great place to get help with this question but in truth you might get more confused than simple answers. The thing that is most important is not to purchase headphones that you like but ones that reproduce sounds most neutral, that is not coloured by the headphones ...

Not sure why you would want to use the expression pedal to adjust overall volume. But if there was a way, I have not found it. You can use the master volume slider to do what you want. On the other hand, you can assign the balance control slider to adjust only the volume of the Style/Accompaniment ...

Re: Autofill-on/of

I'd love to have Songbook save which style intro, STS and variation for a song to start on. It's an absolute pain having to remember which combination each songbook entry is best starting at. Hello John, seems to be possible with each Pa-Keyboard to save start-on Element for each Sb-entry - if not ...

Actually, I'd love to have Songbook save which style intro, STS and variation for a song to start on. It's an absolute pain having to remember which combination each songbook entry is best starting at. The music finder on my Tyros 5 allows this with a simple off, 1, 2, 3 option for Intro and off, V1 ...

<snip> And, of course, while there's a tiny handful of extreme power users, the vast majority of arranger buyers are buying them for their simplicity, their ease of use, their ability to allow you to make music of a high quality standard WITHOUT needing to become a guru... Right on...! I fall into ...

Thank you both Antony and Reuben... I tried the Soft Pedal Rueben and while it lowers the volume, I don't think it alters the timbre. It seems to just lower the volume. Wouldn't be a useable solution for me either as I have an expression pedal attached to the second controller input. And I need that ...

In that case, use upper transit only making sure split and all voices on your Pa3X are off. You will probably need to do a little configuring on your Korg's midi outputs to ensure it is sending all that is needed but basically you should only need to send Upper 1 through channel 1 and set the ...

By control, do you mean to pass through the notes you play on your PA so they sound on the Nord? Of course, this would mean that both instruments would sound their voices simultaneously. I don't see the advantage of that. On the other hand, I have used midi between my arrangers (PA and Tyros) and a ...
